Breaking Through From The Inside Out!

Take off the masks.

SUEISM: “The world is a beautiful place to see once you take off the masks of criticism, hate and anger that hinder your view.”

Our face consists of 52 muscles.  According to Susan Sherwood of Planet Green, “Happiness. Sadness. Fear. Disgust. Surprise. Those are universal emotions, and it takes five facial muscles to display each of them to the world.”  These are just a few of the emotions that our face makes that can be read out loud.  Our face can be a very busy place.  Some of these emotions cause our faces, as mom would say, ‘to stay that way’. Botox proves that.   But how about the muscles that we use in our very faces that cause us to only see one-sided.  Almost as if there is a mask that is put on over half of our face, allowing us to only see half of the world.  I believe that is what happens when our hearts are filled with critical judgement of other.  When we scrunch our nose and heart up in hate and anger, we just don’t see the whole view. It is blocked.  I can speak of times in my own life when I sat my angry self down and demanded that the mask be taken off.  When I have done this, the second part of the picture was revealed.  Compassion was enabled.  Forgiveness abounded.  I wish I could say that my mask putting on days were long over, but they show up occasionally and smother me until I realize they are there.  Awareness of them is a powerful tool.  Don’t just hang up your mask, trash it…Send it packing.  Destroy it so no one else can pick it up and use it.
