Mercy and Manna Music

Sue Bielec and Bob King III

Biography

Poetry is many things to many people.  The poet is an artist who uses words instead of paint.  Poet/painter, Sue Bielec is resplendent in both.  Along with her regal view of God’s earth on canvas, she  also writes poetry that is healing hearts.  Upon meeting singer/songwriter, Bob King III, Sue realized that God had a larger path for her words to travel.

In 2009, the collaboration of Sue Bielec and Bob King became Mercy and Manna Music.  This vision brought  illumination onto each of their talents.  It is a ministry that grows out of many years of discovery and healing in both  their lives.

Sue Bielec grew up in the rolling farm country of southeastern Wisconsin, and was led to Tucson, AZ in 2000.  She was moved artistically and emotionally by God’s magnificence and beauty in the Sonoran Desert.  Here is where the vision of Who created her, and what He created her for, came to light.  Depression had been a debilitating factor of Sue’s persona for most of her life.  She had unwillingly accepted it as part of who she was, but deep down knew that life could be different.

Upon coming to know the Lord Jesus Christ as her Savior, Sue began an arduous search for the root of her despair.  As layer upon layer unraveled, Sue agonized with the realization that her father and his cohorts had terrorized her by sexually and ritually abusing for the first 18 years of her life. Horrendous abuse memories that had been buried deep in her subconscious, rose to the surface. Trust dissolved into nothingness as she realized her grandmother and mother had also known about the abuse, but never intervened. Years of anger, hurt, betrayal, confusion and dysfunctional relationships took their toll, as Sue became even more depressed and required hospitalization numerous times. Her memories became an intrusive tape that played over and over again.  Sue remembers, “It was a vortex where the shame, particularly, would suddenly spiral down and down and down…out of control…till I was no longer in present day reality, but found myself back in the abyss of abuse.”  Sue prayed for healing…for an outlet for all this pain.  Led by a counselor, in deep, intimate times with her Lord, Sue began writing poetry…poetry in the form of a prayer journal that featured the raw anger, pain, hate and fear…poetry that dared to ask deep questions that needed answers, not platitudes…poetry that  caused her to face the masks she had worn in order to survive.  As she wrote, pure healing  was beginning to take place.  As the words flowed through Sue, so did the living waters of freedom.

With a mom and dad who loved the Lord and each other, Bob’s family was the spiritual and emotional opposite of Sue’s.  And due to his father’s career as a Naval aviator, Bob grew up as a traveling man.  By the age of 15, the King family had moved no less than 9 times!  Along the way, with unbridled support from both of his musically gifted parents, Bob started training as a pianist at the age of nine.  His talent and passion were apparent, and his future in the Arts began.  He earned a Bachelor of Arts in Music from San Diego State University and a Master of Church Music from Western Seminary in Portland, OR.  Life was on its merry way.  Bob married his wife, Lori, and began full-time ministry.  He was leading worship, directing choirs, teaching piano and voice, and utilizing his gifts to “serve others.”  Four beautiful children arrived over the next 12 years.  In Bob’s words, “Heart-breaks were few and far between, but the few have been life-changing.”

The first event to mar his “perfect” life was the miscarriage that came in the 17th week of their first pregnancy.  Bob tried to be “spiritual” and “strong”, but that response wasn’t entirely honest.  In retrospect, he now sees that he was avoiding the pain and confusion he felt toward God.  Completely lost on him at the time was his total failure to understand and connect with Lori’s feelings as she struggled with her profound loss.  Giving his best time and energy to “the ministry,” Bob was unconsciously establishing an unhealthy pattern of avoiding true intimacy with his wife and with his Lord. After 15 years and four children, a dejected Lori, who no longer felt any hope for the marriage, filed for divorce.  Bob’s not-so-perfect life shattered.  Even though he felt he had been serving his Lord with his talents, he finally saw how utterly self-serving he had been for so many years.  Humbled by his abject failure as a husband, he sought the Lord as never before.  After two years of separation and divorce, Bob and Lori remarried. It seemed like a miracle.  But now they faced a new battle.  Just two months before re-marrying, Lori was diagnosed with breast cancer.  As a result, their “second honeymoon” was sandwiched between a radical mastectomy and six months of chemotherapy.  It would take years for Bob to finally admit, “I was furious with God.  He had shown me the extent of my faults, and then had restored our marriage.  But everything was still not whole.”  After another 8 years together, their marriage ended again for the final time.

In November of 2000 Bob first crossed paths with Sue.  A few months later, he was playing the role of Jesus in an Easter drama, and she was assigned to Bob as the make-up artist responsible for the crucifixion special effects. As Bob learned more of Sue’s story, he realized that God had given him a friend who truly knew how to walk in brutal honesty before her Lord.  “Sue helped apply the fake wounds and bruises to my body for the crucifixion scene.  What a divine touch of beautiful irony… one who knew such terrible wounding in her own life was applying ‘wounds’ to one who had grown up so richly blessed, so that he could play the role of the One who endured the greatest suffering that could ever be borne!”

It is truly apparent that Sue and Bob are multi-talented. Each also has a life story that reveals the grace and faithfulness of God…the great Love that never lets go of His own.  They have joined forces so these eternal truths may be powerfully portrayed in the ministry of  Mercy and Manna Music.  Sue explains, “Even though Bob thought my poems were excellent material for songs, his music makes them soar right unto the heavens.  For they are, in fact, the incense of my prayers.”  These songs will touch people where they hurt, and hopefully draw them to Jesus for healing.

Sue and Bob are currently in the recording studio putting final touches on their first CD.  Their music is available on Indieheaven.  The goal of their ministry is eloquently described in Sue’s words:  “We want hurting people to know that no matter what you’ve done, or how deep the pain, God is deeper still; and none of what you bring to the Lord for healing is ever a surprise to Him.  He doesn’t condemn you for having those dark places in your heart.  He longs to heal you to your very depths; it’s why He died.”  It is apparent that God’s hand has been molding this ministry for a time such as this.  “To all who mourn…He will give beauty for ashes.”  (Isaiah 61:3)

BIO – Kathleen Fowle

DREAMS COME TRUE!

If you were to ask, American singer/songwriter/composer, Kathleen Fowle, what the ‘why’ has been throughout her luminous music career, without hesitation she will state what she considers to be the obvious.  Her dream has been to deliver love through music.  This statement clearly enlightens the path that Kathleen has traveled over the past two decades.  The music that flows through her voice and her fingertips has wings of it’s own that flutter in hearts long after the physical sound has stopped.  It is clearly plain to see that Kathleen has a unique gift that touches the deepest innermost parts with love and joy.  Her dream has come true: Her music changes lives.  Simply, exquisitely and profoundly.

Kathleen was born in Madrid, Spain. As a young child, it was apparent that the desire to be involved in the media of music and songwriting was truly inherited.  Having a great-grandfather whose music was nationally published, along with several other family members as accomplished musicians and authors; Kathleen was destined to follow in this design.   She has had formal training in many areas, enabling her to not only frequent the stage, but also to use her skills throughout the years in a myriad of ways.  Kathleen states, I realized my music had potential to make people happy or bring peace, love and joy to their lives, so this became my mission. God is the creator, He gives the gift and we create alongside Him.

Kathleen’s instruction has been in piano, voice, brass & reed instruments with emphasis in classical, jazz and composition.  From writing music compositions, performing live concerts, sitting principal horn in orchestra, leading worship, producing radio and film documentaries, along with performing with groups such as composer Tim Janis, to publishing a large catalog of music through Two by Two Express, Kathleen’s accolades are diverse.  They follow, though, a red line that encompasses the passion of the music that emanates from within her.  Her studies in journalism and working in various newsrooms have enabled her to have a vast view of the world and it shows throughout her musical writing.  Her standards of excellence can be seen throughout all of her accomplishments. However, she states her most compelling accomplishment is obtaining and continuing to develop a relationship with the Lord who is the true Master Artist of her life.

Living in Israel for four years had taken the inner passion that existed within Kathleen to an even higher level.  She was able to see, first-hand, how her music touched individuals

from within Israel and those visiting from various countries.  Her musical journey began with THE JOURNEY AND THE DREAM while Kathleen was physically located in Israel. This album was written in 2004 and then released in 2005. Following closely on the heels of this creation came THE JOURNEY HOME, an instrumental art that relayed the love and renewed hope that she had found along the way. When Kathleen left Israel and returned home to the United States, she asked God to give her clear direction to the question, “What’s next?” As she continued to share her music on the road that question was answered with the creation of her next CD, FLY FREE. Kathleen’s third album, was birthed with her stated mission of bringing joy, love and peace through music penned at the top of the page.  FLY FREE, the title track, hit the airwaves in 2008 and took a meteoric rise to the top 20 at Christian Radio Weekly on both CHR and AC radio.

It is clear to see what inspires Kathleen.  People.  Of every size, color, shape and culture. Having performed to thousands over the years, she is able to truly see God’s perfect handiwork through others.  She has been given a bird’s eye view into the very hearts of individuals who need.  The stories and faces are many, but the truth remains the same.  When Kathleen sings, joy happens!  It is contagious and blends with her laughter. Adding an entirely new artistic direction that links the media of music directly to the heart.

Kathleen has a special love for people.  Someone that she affectionately refers to as her ‘hero’ inspired this love.  Her father.  His walk with the Lord was one that her tiny footprints were led to follow.  He served through the armed forces and when his life abruptly ended, Kathleen’s desire to serve others through her music only intensified.  Her own words reiterate this so beautifully. “Dad, You gave your life for our country and with your life, you showed me how to give mine to Jesus!” Even though the loss of her father left a hole in her heart, over time, God’s intervention in healing this pain filled that hole with a deeper knowledge of His love.  With this newfound erudition in her life, Kathleen has taken this and melded it into her music.  That inner love had a life and legs of it’s own.  One that had come from within, enabling her to share it with people everywhere.  Although Kathleen’s focus is to reach her peers and this generation, it is one of her life goals to seek out and give that love, through her music, to the individuals and families that have been affected by recent wars.  Not just those that are fighting for the freedom of our country in this era, but for many more to come.

Loving the ocean, Kathleen is based in New England.  She is currently traveling back and forth to the southeastern corner of the world, Nashville, TN, to record a rendering of

all the above. This CD will be released Summer 2011. This project, which also finds Kathleen as the producer, gathers the past with the present, culminating into a sound that Kathleen fondly refers to as Contemporary Classical.  Kathleen’s plans include performing the songs from both this new album and FLY FREE to stages across the nations. When asked though, where she sees herself in the next five years, she will look at you with that infectious smile and exclaim aloud, “I’ll just keep loving on people and God will take care of the rest”. Spoken from a woman, a musician, and an artist who continues to pair music with life.

BIO

AARON JONES

“telling my love story one song at a time”

Immediately upon viewing Aaron Jones close up, you see a reflection in his eyes.  That shine emits from the passion that travels from his soul to his lips.  His CCM pop, contemporary music has been influenced by the likes of acclaimed artists Michael W. Smith and Steven Curtis Chapman.  Two men who sincerely share the same desire that Aaron Jones possesses.  This is the longing to serve through song.  Singer/songwriter, Aaron Jones’ original music enlightens his audiences to the love that can be found not only for another, but also from a relationship with his Savior, Jesus Christ.  Aaron Jones brings this fact forth with lyrics that move you from the core of your heart.

Currently residing in Pulaski, TN with his wife and 5 children ranging from 18 to 3 yrs of age, it is evident that Aaron Jones’ life revolves around his family.  Growing up in the church brought a strong foundation to his faith, but as Aaron Jones’ states, he “lacked a true conversion”.  Taking many things for granted and therefore, exchanging masks to cover his absence of true commitment to his faith.  Upon the realization of “true love” through the study of the gospels a couple of years ago, Aaron Jones began to visualize exactly what Jesus had done for him through the cross.  It was a “bolt” of spiritual lighting that suddenly touched him with an expanse of love beyond what he had ever known before.

After recording his debut cd, Found Wanting, Aaron began to be noticed not only for his smooth, emotion-filled voice, but also for the heart-felt story line that weaves throughout his love songs to the Lord.  I came for one song and stayed for the whole album!”, states singer/songwriter, Brent Cole.  The created words of Aaron Jones’ song Rather Be With Me, reiterates the expanse of love that is available for all of us to have.  “you’d rather be with me, what an awesome mystery.  You risked all eternity, ‘cause you’d rather be with me.” With the goal of sharing his commitment, Aaron Jones’ music is also in demand through the avenue of media.   Recently, Recreate Us, was chosen for the Advent Praise Compellation CD which was sent to over 5,000 churches nationwide.  (Aaron, I would like to include a NOTABLE quote here…)

With action in progress and new music in the making, Aaron Jones is creating a ministry of sound that is available for the family unit at large.  His commitment to showing others the higher level of relationship is moving him across the nation.  He is available for your upcoming event, fundraiser or music happening.  You will soon see that Aaron “get’s it”.  He understands where you are, but more than that, where you can be!  Now living a life filled with “all the right” reasons!

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:

Chula Vista, CA – June 25, 2008 – Hannah Ford, singer/songwriter extraordinaire brings her latest project
“Fervency” to the airwaves and is now being distributed nationally.  With a sound reminiscent of her luminaries, Alanis Morisette, Sheryl Crow and Jewel, her Pop-Folk Rocker impression is flowing soundly throughout the nations.   Having worked with acclaimed organizations such as Billy Graham Crusade Evangelistic Association, Baja Christian Ministries, Ambassador Missions, World Vision, and LifeLight Communications just to name a very few, Hannah Ford has been led and now leads with her sweet, yet sometimes feral voice.  This is a merging of “opposites” that create a sensation to be experienced. First of all, she is musically extremely talented; she has a gift of connecting with the audience that cannot be conveyed through just a CD. Most importantly for us, she is so ministry focused.”, exclaims Alan Greene, Founder, LifeLIght Communications.

With a passion that has meandered throughout the world, Hannah Ford brings an anointed sound that crosses generational lines.  Possessing an intense focus and strong desire to share through her talents the very essence of the “heart of God”, Hannah Ford writes, speaks, sings and evangelizes with that goal as the core of her ministry. Hannah Ford has won numerous music awards. Most notably, in 2003, she received the acclaimed position of first place in “The Fresh New Artist of the Year Award” by listeners of KKLA and The Fish 95.9 FM in the Los Angeles and the Orange County area. Hannah Ford’s music is currently being aired in several countries and is enjoyed by listeners all over the United States, Morocco, the Philippines, Russia, Mexico, Indonesia, Europe, Israel, Palestine, and more.  A true statement that she has taken Acts 1:8 to task.  Impacting the world with her vision and songs.

Ford’s warm vocal delivers a gentle country vibe to the appealing track as well, covering lyrics that drip with zeal, a trend that continues throughout the project”, states, CCM CENTRAL.

EVANSVILLE, IN, April 17, 2008, 2008,  – www.missionsixband.com

With their upcoming, April 19 to May 2, 2008, sound appearance on Radio Disney Incubator, Mission Six is taking their message to the airwaves. Literally “jumping up to get down” – these boys got the beat! With an intense degree of contagious energy in their show and music, you can’t help but experience the physical and emotional spread of it like sizzling wild fire!   Everyone catches a piece of it and it stays lit throughout the entire performance.  The infectious rhythm, techno beat and harmonies meld to bring a sound far beyond their years.  All five members of the band are in the range of 13-14 years of age. With a sound reminiscent of their luminaries, Family Force Five, Relient K and the Disney darlin’s Jonas Bros, they are proving themselves as a group to be vigilant of.  Their first album is currently being brought to life with songs from nationally acclaimed producers/songwriters, Kevin Cyka (Hillary Duff) and Dan Needham (Jump 5), along with the creative production of co-written works by Matt Langston, lead singer of Flicker Records, sonic punk group, Eleventy Seven with a proposed release date through Infinity South Distribution, July 30, 2008, through EMERSUS MEDIA.

These five young “super-musicians”, Noah/lead vocals-guitar, Issac/vocals-keys, Michael/vocals-bass, David/drums and Anthony/lead guitar, with current roots in the small town of Evansville, Indiana, have a three-fold charge that they want their audience to both experience and have an awareness off and on stage.  This directive contains the recognition of faith, family and friends in their lives. Mission Six hopes to encourage and direct their fans to “smile good” music with these things in mind.  When all of this is fused together, it accentuates the essence of Mission6. Noah, lead singer states, “There is so much happening in the world right now that takes our direction away from the most important basic things in life.  We want to help our generation “regroup” and enjoy life with fun music and simple energy”. This band is surely headed steadfast on that course.  “What a breath of fresh music!  It just gives you that sensation of “feels good”! Sarah Ross, Hollywood Records recording artist, Everlife.

With their tour page filling up by the milli-second, the members of MISSION SIX have a huge immediate desire and that is to Meet You!  Having already shared the stage with Stellar Kart, pureNRG, Run Kid Run, Day of Fire, DecembeRadio, FuseBox, Eleventy Seven, Jump 5 and Everlife, MISSION SIX are in good company! —so come on out to a show, bring mom and dad and join them as this power-pop band with an edge,  “jumps up to get down”…

DAVE PANICO

“The Soaring Saxman”

A smooth jazz, funk sound flavored with spices of life.  Dave Panico, with saxophone in hand, will move you with a delectable combination of vibrations traveling through the air.  Once the first note is played, there is no denying the energy that permeates the room.  Dave Panico takes your senses to a new realm.  A distinctive quality comes from his music and reaches down to the very core of your soul.

Influenced by jazz greats, Benny Goodman, Pete Fountain, Big Band sounds of the 1940’s like Tommy Dorsey, along with current influences Warren Hill, Dave Koz, Richard Elliot, to name just a few, Dave Panico was left with a deep impression of this genre at a very young age.  Picking up the Saxophone in high school and never putting it down again.  Adding clarinet and flute to his instrument ensemble, he began to play out in various bands and laid down recordings in the Chicago area.  While living in this area, Dave Panico was honored to have a seat in the orchestra and studio band of Willow Creek Community Church. It was here that Dave Panico took his love of ministering and combined it with his passion for music. “Dave Panico was a talented, enthusiastic, and treasured soloist and member of the horn section team at Willow Creek. He always brought his very best as a musician to any situation, along with a true servant’s heart for the Church and God’s Kingdom.”, states John Carlson, Music Director, Willow Creek.  Taking that passion to the road, Dave has played in many venues to include various coffeehouses, churches, outdoor festivals and in the media of television and radio.

Currently residing in Kansas City, MO, Dave Panico, along with his wife and three children, continues to “woo” the audiences with his fine instrument of brass. Having received Instrumental Artist of the Year Award at the 2007 Kansas City Christian Music Awards, along with receiving a nomination for the acclaimed Instrumental Artist of the Year Award in 2008 from IndieHeaven-Momentum Awards, Nashville, TN, Dave Panico is making a “sound” for himself.  CCM magazine recognized the talents of Dave Panico and asked for his expertise with a unique article having him iterate about particular brand instruments that allow his sound to come out “smoothly”.

With a gift of engaging the audience and a vibe that is purely contagious, Dave Panico releases each of his performances early on to allow the Lord work through them.  “I love to let the Holy Spirit take control while I play.” states Dave.  His live performances include the talents of many other musicians, which create a design consisting of an extensive range of styles.  This mixture is one that relates to all age groups.

Dave Panico’s sophomore cd is currently in “mix/master process” and will be available soon to the public at large.  So if you are needing a night out on the town, want music or live entertainment for that special party or function, or just want to spin the smooth jazz from Dave Panico’s current cd, SOAR, please view the music, tour and booking section of the website.   His music and heart will take you to places you’ve never been, whether in person or in the comfort of your own home.  Dave Panico’s hope is to share his gifts with you soon!

SANDI SIMON

“encouraging the prodigals”

Grace; the freely given, unmerited favor and love of God, Mercy; compassionate or kindly forbearance shown toward an offender and Forgiveness; act of forgiving; state of being forgiven. These words and the definition of each all play an integral part in the ministry of singer/songwriter, Sandi Simon. With a learned knowledge of “true love” being reiterated throughout her ministry, Sandi Simon has taken her gift of music and displays both the difficult and joy-filled “road of obedience”. This message is brought to clarity throughout her lyrical creations.

Sandi Simon understands the word struggle.  Growing up in the church, she was ministered to, but lacked the patience to accept it fully.. As she states, “life with God was a rollercoaster ride”.  The ups and downs, though, led her to actively seek Him in a more personal way.  With joy in her heart and soul, she began to lead worship at the Calvary Chapel Murietta.  The lyrics of her music began to take form from the songs in her heart.  She began to write and sing to various audiences around the nation.  Her debut cd, entitled Kiss the Son brings with it a myriad of praise and worship songs that inspire the “hopeless” and “broken” showing them the victory that comes from knowing our Lord.  The hearts of women is where she feels especially called to help mend and encourage. Bringing them to holiness in their marriages, purity in their singleness and encouraging them to live truth.  The kind of truth that is void of lies and masks. Truth that comes from biblical knowledge and God’s word.   Her songs relay this.  “A serene voice sings the story of an unknown woman pleading forgiveness for a decision to terminate a pregnancy.  “The voice relates it to the lapses in her own judgment.  The voice sings from the role of a mother, a nurse.  That harmonious quality is lifting Sandi Simon’s voice from the choir at Calvary Chapel of Murrieta to Christian Radio Weekly’s Indie Top 30 charts and beyond.” states, the CALIFORNIAN NEWS.

Currently residing in Murietta, CA with her husband and seven children, along with the addition of six grandchildren, Sandi Simon knows firsthand the blessings that family brings.  Her position as a registered nurse, allows the meaning of “healing” to enter the forefront of her ministry in a personal way.  She works in the PACU (post-anesthesia care unit).  Sandi Simon is on the “finishing line” as she takes care of people who have gone through the fear of surgery.  She brings the essence of her ministry through song to this very place.  Sandi Simon helps people through their struggle and then enjoys the smile of freedom and hope that appear after each performance. Sandi Simon has been named Songwriter of the Month (February 2008) and Artist of the Month (April 2008) at MCTMG Radio in Nashville, TN.  These acclaimed awards have led her to a Songwriter and Artist of the Year to be decided in October 2008.  Her words of hope are on their way to the airwaves for all to hear.  Whether through listening to her cd or experiencing her talented performance in person, you will quickly agree that God has a plan for her message to be shared. Sandi’s message is sung out loud and clear, “He’s waiting for you, longing for your return to Him…”

Stronger, Awaken, Deeper Life!

“For as the soil makes the sprout come up and a garden causes seeds to grow, so the Sovereign LORD will make righteousness and praise spring up before all nations.” Isaiah 61:11

Kathleen Fowle, recording artist, author and songwriter, and the ministry of Two by Two Express epitomizes the call of “new growth in total freedom”.  Kathleen has the vision to provide an avenue, through music, for those who want to enter into a “deeper walk.”  One that will take you step by step into the very essence of Jesus;  His holiness, the cross and resurrection, forgiveness and trust.  A seed that is planted must first bear the formidable darkness that surrounds it, but as it begins to take in the nutrients that are offered, it begins to grow.  All the while searching upwards.  Free to reach through the ground.  When petals abound, it is then that the praise becomes alive!

Kathleen’s gift to reach that “higher place” is contagious.  With full-time ministry that reaches back to 1995, and music/worship encompassing 25+ years, Kathleen’s experience and knowledge envelops the entirety of the five-fold ministry: Worship Pastor, Evangelist, Teacher, Prophet and Apostle.  Her love for people is an essential part of who she is and this love emits a flavor and fragrance for all to gather in.  Matthew 10:8 – “Give as freely as you have received”. This is what Kathleen does as she, all the while and with delicate, radical expression, points to Jesus.  He is her nourishment and substance…Her ministry shows “all” how to partake of that.

Over the years, Kathleen has found herself ministering/mentoring/consulting at church/worship gatherings, cafes, alongside therapists and medical professions, and even to the nation of Israel.   She has a pride in the fact that, working alongside her Saviour, she has seen thousands come to the grace of salvation and thousands more healed by our Father’s touch.

There is a heightened level of sincerity and honesty that permeates the music, heart and vision of Kathleen Fowle today. Empowering the synergy of walking “two by two” in radical abandonment through her ministry, has enabled her to reach “the unreachable and teach the seemingly unteachable” not just for the moment, but for an eternal lifetime.

KAREN FISHER

“it is enough to serve” as the “voice of moms”

The character definition of singer/songwriter Karen Fisher is two-fold; a storyteller driven by the music within her.  This is the inner “edge” of the ministry of Karen Fisher.  Having been described as the “voice of moms”, Karen Fisher has taken the profound that has meandered throughout her life and written them lyrically on the pages of sheet music.  Stirring the souls of audiences everywhere with a smiling heart that reaches deep within and stretches the soul.  Her passion is simply stated, “it is enough to serve”.

In the vein of Contemporary Pop, with a spice of blues, Karen Fisher’s music is reminiscent of her luminaries, Nicole Nordeman, Sarah McLaughlin and Watermark, to name a few.  Her debut album, Just Like Me, breathed life into the very inner calling that permeates within and out of Karen Fisher. A LYRICAL FRAGRANCE…Jessica McLean…Singer, Songwriter, Musicanary

What’s the sound of a feeling?  The answer is the epitome of the songs that Jessica McLean gives life to.   The lyrical content and sweet essence that Jessica lends to each and every composition emanates from the story of her young 26 years.  The human soul longs for things higher, warmer and purer and the gift that Jessica gives from the stage and on disc provide fuel for this need.   Designed to Dream, Jessica’s freshman album, focuses on just that.  While seeking the where’s and why’s of life, Jessica found plain truths to difficult questions and has intertwined the answers in verse.

Jessica was born in the coastal town of Kitty Hawk, NC, and is married to Nic Mclean, director and  graphic artist of numerous evangelical surf films, including “Noah’s Arc”.  With influences such as “Jewel” and “Bethany Dillon”, Jessica’s collection of songs on Designed to Dream features rich and elegant vocals laced with personal pieces from Jessica dreams and life ambitions.  Her first and foremost dedication is to her Lord and family and it shows throughout this album.  With songs like In the Light, that parallels the meaning behind knowing and not knowing, she acknowledges that we have the ability to choose which path we take.  In the song Ocean, Jessica brings the reality of how a “second” can be the time between peace and a storm.  She reiterates that fact that God, throughout all and everything, is real!  Jessica’s passion and the transformation that each self-written song receives when she begins to write, flows together to bring forth a treasury that reaches every part of the human heart.

Her love for the Lord and people are bound together and is apparent throughout her live performances.  Having shared the stage with By the Tree, David Crowder Band and the Newsboys has given her a platform of a variety of listening hosts. With a smile that causes the wind to “stand still”, she captivates her audiences and gives them something to “live on” with.  Bound together with a promise, Jessica and husband Nic, have dedicated their young life to the ministry of serving the world of surfers worldwide.  Being a surfer-girl at heart herself, Jessica has devoted a large portion of her “musicanary” heart to this avenue.  Jessica is currently working with Ultra Entertainment, which showcases the movie Walking on Water to the surfer community with theatrical releases nationwide.  She has been featured in Foam Magazine,  Today’s Christian Woman, The Christian Pulse and Brio Magazine to name a few.  Her unique sound and mission has also brought her to the attention of Mohr Management, Nashville, TN, Keith Mohr, creator and owner of the highly acclaimed independent artist resource agency, IndieHeaven.  Having won numerous Song of the Year contests, to included a VH-1 Song of the Year, Keith has acknowledged that Jessica has the unique potential to make a mark in this industry without changing her heart’s desire.   This desire is purely to entertain, encourage and provide the truth to people that seek it.

Jessica is living her dream, shining like a star and carrying the light into darkness.    Having been designed to dream, she wants to share this blueprint with you!

JAIME THIETTEN – Singer/Songwriter

Captivatingly Unforgettable!

From tomboy to beauty queen, Jaime Thietten knows first-hand the variables involved in change within a person’s life.    Her transformation, both physical and spiritual, was apparent as she grew.  She strived to learn the “all” of everything, intuitively knowing that there was more to come.  As her “love for life”, every aspect of it, especially the media of music, increased, Jaime excelled wherever she ventured.  Her future course was aligned with the fact that music would always be a directive in where she was going, embodied with the unmistakable love of her Savior, Jesus Christ.

Jaime Thietten was raised in Idaho, the middle child of three.  Her gifted mother and sister had joined her early in her life to create a harmonic infusion melded into the music.  The intrinsic and most important ingredient that was sprinkled into her early days was the desire to serve “well”. Jaime has never done anything without that piece in place.  She strives to finish and master the whole.  With this recipe in hand, this singer/songwriter has brought forth a collection of songs that will stir you to action.

With a sound compared to her musical luminaries, Celine Dion, Faith Hill, Whitney Houston, Jay Leno and Sandi Patti, Jaime Thietten illuminates the stage.  One that she has shared with various artists including nationally acclaimed recording artists Avalon, the Gaither Homecoming, Tree 63, ZOEgirl, Kenny Loggins, Michael English, Clay Walker, to name a few. Having the honor of singing the national anthem at various NBA events, along with appearances on national television, Jaime Thietten continues to aim high and won’t settle for less.   Her original compositions have been described as coming from the “depths of her soul”. “…fabulous voice…beautiful interpretations!” Management Association for Celine Dion.   Currently, her music can be heard on well over one hundred stations across the country and in Hawaii, Guam and Puerto Rico, including several radio networks.   Accompanied with a beauty and talent from the inside out, Jaime’s music is setting audiences into motion. Her desire is to reach up and encourage, from beginning of each song to end.  The words within the song “There’s a Reason for Rain”, exemplify what Jaime lives for – knowing there is a reason for her life and the desire to share with you a “piece” of what she has been given.

Jaime Thietten and her husband, currently reside near Nashville, Tennessee where he works in full-time youth ministry.   Her husband, Pete, is very supportive and often collaborates with Jaime on her music and ministry. They share the passion and devotion to use their lives to further God’s kingdom.  One preaching it, the other singing it.  A true joining of heart and spirit that creates a lively essence to the “why” of Jaime’s ministry.   Whether you listen with a spin of her self-titled cd, or find yourself seated in her audience, Jaime will have you “dreamin” of a better place, a stronger you and truth that is absolute through her music.  It will last until the end of time…

DREW DAVIDSEN

The Blues Groove

As sound permeates the room, Drew Davidsen, with fingers traveling up and down the neck of his guitar, crosses tradition with creative technique.  Drew Davidsen, a man of few words with many notes, has been bringing a smooth, guitar sound to audiences everywhere for over three decades, with humble beginnings at the impressionable age of five.

Having been trained classically, then rock-jazz influenced by Ray Charles, Karol King and Creedence Clearwater Revival at an early age, Drew has merged a lifetime of sound into what is now known as his own unique and smooth style.  He has played events and shared the stage with Regatta 60 and R&B group, Touch, along with some of the worlds greatest jazz musicians and legends including, Gerald Veasley, Nick Colionne, Steve Oliver, Jason Miles, Bobby Lyle, Garry Granger, David Bach, and Carl Filipiak. As can be seen, Drew Davidsen is no newcomer to the audience-splayed room.  His most notable times were playing in Blues Alley, a jazz club in DC, and an honor-filled appearance at the Rehoboth Beach Autumn Jazz Fest Grand Jam Party. With a smile that starts at the corner of his mouth and reaches across the room, Drew Davidsen draws the audience into an experience, not just a performance.   A true showing of the “why” of what he does.

Drew is heating up the air and media waves.  Having just won the acclaimed MOMENTUM Award for Jazz Artist of the Year, IndieHeaven, Nashville, TN and exclaimed as one of the “hottest ‘Top Ten’ new guitar players” to watch as noted in the June 2008 Guitar Player Magazine, Drew Davidsen is quickly gaining stature in his field.  Bending the ears of many in the industry, Drew is playing his “vision” out loud.  To inspire and to empower through his music is an adopted goal that presses Drew forward and onward.  With a solid background that also crosses into the world of service and respect for our country through the armed forces, along with a desire to follow the path his Lord has set out for him, Drew has many loves. The strongest though, is clearly his passion for music, having played and/or produced on over 28 projects. “Ever since I was a little boy I can remember having a special feeling toward music of all kinds. My Dad took me to see so many great artists like Ray Charles, BB King, and many more. One particular trip to Nashville sticks out in my mind, because this was when I knew I was called to do ´Smooth Jazz´. Really I am called to be me…” Since 1995, Drew has been the lead guitar player for the Richard Walton group in Baltimore, MD, and has just finished recording his latest CD, “This Journey“.  This project displays his gift for smooth jazz guitar and has drawn his music into a distinct direction.  “Even though Drew’s style has changed over the years, some things remain the same; his love for his craft, and his dedication to bring it all to his fans! It is always the season for incredible musicians and the new music that they create. Welcome, Drew Davidsen, into your new season!” John Lane

With all of this and much more to come, Drew Davidsen is boldly taking melodies and grooves to a higher place.  With a refreshed spirit and a new song in his hand, Drew continues to play and wants to meet and talk with you.  His desire is for you to personally feel what he brings forth through his music and that you take it home with you to experience time and again, whether from a live show or a spin from one of his cds – all the time sharing his smile with you!

DOWN TO ONE – “behind enemy lines”

The music that resonates from Down to One requires a response, classic but not simple.  Their sound is contagious.  With hauntingly, beautiful and melodic vocals, driven by the under force of arduous guitar rifts, Down to One will challenge your senses.   The combination of each member provides an essence that allows Down to One to bring a unique One-ness to their sound.  Focusing on a “personal connection” rather than just bringing forth a show, they relate to the public at large.  With a strong faith and a fervent vision, Down to One has been known to “make a difference”.  Leaving a lasting image in the eyes and ears of their audience.

Having been involved in the task of raising funds for organizations that raise monies to heighten the awareness of HIV/AIDS, along with playing concerts in clubs and various general market events, has allowed Down to One to continue their journey in every avenue of the world.  With issues ranging from abuse, status, faith and the vast travesties in the world, this band is an entity that wants to leave a mark. With this multi-faceted vision in place, Down to One, which consists of Jonny Brenner- guitar/vocals
Kari Schneider – vocals
Scott Schneider – drums
Neal Dallmer – bass, provides an energetic “happening” every time they perform.

With self-written songs like “Echoes” and the emotionally charged “Don’t Fade Away” , Down to One brings a unforgettable performance to every show they play.   Brian Musser, from PEACE and POWER MINISTRIES states “Down To One deposits the “words of life” to guitars and drums that converse directly to the soul”.

You can view their music and live video at www.downtoone.com .  Their message of inspiration and encouragement will envelop the “world wide”…Keep an eye out for them in a town near you…

CHRIS UPDEGRAFT

A rock worship artist for the 21st CENTURY!

Enticing, sublime and well formed are descriptive words that explain the epitome of the music of Chris Updegraft.  The music of Chris Updegraft carries a strong appeal.  His lyrical influence, interspersed with music that carries a life of its own, makes you feel “alive”. The very breath that has been released moves the human soul into each song.  With vocals that penetrate both the physical and spiritual parts, along with a message that comes out with clarity and emotion, Chris Updegraft truly has a gift!

Chris Updegraft was raised in Southern California with a solid foundation built upon both biblical and musical training, each of which was introduced to him very early in his life.  His mother, a music teacher whose encouragement to take scripture and apply his gift or writing original melodies and chord progressions to them, is what has guided him throughout his life to bring forth the “unique” sound that now transmits from the stage and the physical project.  Chris Updegraft currently resides in Charlotte, NC, with his wife, Jenny and their four children.   Chris has been filled with a desire to awaken memories of the essence of old school rock and roll without the fatalistic vibe attached to many of the songs in this genre.  His oldest son brought that reality to light as he began to get interested in music.  The essence of “unity” within the church body, with a focus on worship, is the main aspect of Chris Updegraft’s desire.

With a sound reminiscent of his luminaries, Jeremy Camp, David Crowder, Sting and Bono, U2, his audience is vast. Even though these sounds are what Chris has appreciated and gleaned from, his sound is very distinct and unique.  “My desire is for my songs to be timeless”. , states Chris.   Reaching a public that is hungry for feeling, desirous for answers and wanting to experience worship with life attached to it.  This is truly a unique and appealing combination. His music is filled with great guitar tone and beautiful piano lines, with huge drum sounds and killer bass parts, you can’t help yourself from wanting more!  “God take me and save me right where I’m at.”  Words straight from the heart of this artist voice out loud that allows you to peek into his passion. “Chris Updegraft’s current project ‘Calling Your Love’ is intense, edgy worship; old school rock mixed with soulful vocals and passionate lyrics. Kudos to Chris Updegraft for bringing real talent to the table again.  I’m anticipating his next release!” Sarah M. Ross, National Recording Artist, EVERLIFE.

Chris has taken his music into an un-marked avenue, by literally bringing in 12,000 pipes, dry modern drums and an acoustic piano.  Drawing from the “genius” sound of long ago, combined with a never been done, “beyond this time” essence.  Working with Elijah Mosley, nationally acclaimed producer, on his current project has been a birthing process. “Chris took a risk on ‘Calling Your Love’.  He refused to concern himself with what “others” would think about the record; instead he made an honest, yet extravagant record that reflects his Christian convictions and explores his musical depth.  Chris approached every aspect of this record with excellence refusing to compromise on the quality of musicians, arrangements, production, etc.  I am proud to have partnered with Chris to produce Calling Your Love. Elijah Mosely, producer.  With 21 musicians and vocalists, along with a sitar, bazoki  and gaduka, to name a few of the unique instruments used on this project, Chris Updegraft ran the gamut, bringing forth the “all” of what he could through this album. It is truly a project that is in a “mold” of it’s own.  As unique as a single fingerprint.

Chris Updegraft truly believes that music can have the same passion, aggression and energy that has been reminiscent of the rock era, but with a different edge.  One that takes you where you are and brings you to an understanding about how the Lord feels about You, His desire to have his project flow as a story line happens so uniquely.  Taking you from one song to the next with an intention to want to not just “choose” one, but also hear it all as one.  Chris is playing to a myriad of audiences nationwide, along with having had the opportunity to appear multiple times on international Christian television networks such as God TV and TBN with artists including Leonard Jones, Suzay Yaraei, John Mark and Sarah McMillan, and others.  You have not seen nor heard the full gamut from this young artist yet.  He is raw and out there desiring to share with you his passion to come closer in a relationship with a God who is the “rock”.

You would be remiss without taking a moment to “hear and feel” Chris’ portrayal of his connection with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ through his music. “In my weakness You are strength, in the darkness Your light it breaks…” JOIN Chris as the “light” takes on a life of it’s own, both on stage and through his physical cd.  He will be looking to meet you there!

CRUTCH FIELD

Beginning Anew!

The musical nature of Crutch Field takes on the character genre of pop and new grass, tendered with a flavorful mix of funk.  Crutch Field truly brings a unique blend to the genres that have gone before them, such as Nickel Creek and   John and Kerri Crutchfield realized early in their relationship that they both possessed a like-minded, passion filled dream.  Each wanting to take the gift that was alive within them to the world.  When vocalist Erin Maynor and guitar player Christian Acker crossed their paths, they knew the calling was not for them alone.  Taking the name given to John, they formed Crutch Field.  Wanting others to know that they do not have to do this “earth/eternity” thing alone.  Using the media of music, they are able to relate the fact that even with all the things that hinder us as humans, we can throw them at the feet of our Lord and leave them there.   Therefore, relying on His strength and not our own.  With this task at heart, they were in agreement to take as Kerri states, “light into the dark places.”

Kerri and John Crutchfield, along with their two daughters, have decided, with calling in heart, to journey on the “road less traveled”. Both have grown up in the church, singing as youth and into their teens.  At one point, John, playing bluegrass in a band with friends, came upon a thought,  “Praise and Worship – Bluegrass Style”. Meeting Kerri in 2002, their dream merged and they began their life-offering of worship ministry.  In the meantime, Christian Acker and Erin Maynor, living in the same town, with the same mind, the same heart, it was pre-destined that they would all meet.  With all in place, their first CD, self-titled Crutch Field was born.  “Crutch Field sings and plays with passion and excellence, with a message that helps put words to the cry of a worshipper’s heart…honest and humble Christ-centered worship lyrics”, , states Brad Bailey, Worship Pastor, Life Fellowship Church.

Their venture has been captivating the eyes and ears of many across the nation. Indie Heaven, the nation’s leading organization supporting independent artists in the Christian music genre, selected Crutch Field for two acclaimed Momentum Awards in the categories of Album of the Year and Country Artist of the Year.  With a distinguished article in the Lincoln Times News quickly following.  The headline exclaiming,  “Crutch Field’s music is definitely “Heaven Sent”. A statement that is directly in line with where they are headed, who is leading them and whom they give credit for all.

You can currently find Crutch Field on the road, families in tow, doing what they do best.  Full time “musicianaries” giving all they have been given right back, “out loud”.  With a non-profit status and a new project forming as we speak, their faith carries them.  Love binds them together.  Their heart is apparent once you hear and see them perform.  Beginning anew, Crutch Field speaks of a new project that is building and being created as we speak. Beginning anew, their goal is to minister through song to everyone they meet!  Whether in person or through the spinning of their current disc,  Crutch Field hopes to share their future with you!
