“if your brain is filled to the brim with the old, it will have no room for the new!”
Even when I am at rest, my brain is like that duck on water. Seemingly quiet on the outside, but legs moving rapidly on the inside… As I began to think on the above thought, it occurred to me that with all of the other STUFF that I constantly have in my mind (you know- those daily worries, financial woes, thoughts of the past, feelings of inadequacies, etc., etc.), I am not leaving much room to let anything new in. Are there times when you just feel there is so much to sort through in your head that when you finally do have a moment of down time, there is no desire for new adventure, let alone a new thought. We just want to be numb and not think at all. When we do get going again, it is filled up again with the worries, the thoughts, the plethora of things that were there before!!!! — It’s time to stop the cycle of madness!!! This sure is not the definition of the ‘sound mind’ that our good Lord’s word speaks about. We need to let a little out, and not let it back in. In essence, like a balloon that has been overfilled or we will eventually just blow up. Creatively His, susan
